United States Congressman Jim Jordan Visits New Sutphen Service and Technical Division
URBANA, OHIO – Sutphen Corporation, the largest family-owned fire apparatus manufacturer in the nation, hosted United States Congressman Jim Jordan of Ohio’s 4th District at its new service, parts and reconditioning location in Urbana, Ohio.
During the tour of the facility, Rep. Jordan fielded questions and met with Sutphen Corporation’s fourth-generation president Drew Sutphen, general manager Todd Winnenberg, service purchasing supervisor Dareth Sutphen Fowler and Champaign Economic Partnership’s economic development director Marcia Bailey.
“We thoroughly enjoyed having Mr. Jordan visit our service, parts and reconditioning facility,” said Sutphen President Drew Sutphen. “As constituents and business owners within his district, we were honored to discuss how we can work together to better Sutphen and make Urbana a vibrant and ever-improving place to live and do business.”
Sutphen and Winnenberg discussed the economic impact the fire apparatus manufacturer has on the community and how the company is continuing to expand and hire within the area.
“We are growing at a rapid pace,” said Winnenberg. “Our service, parts and recondition facility is a prime example of that. With this new facility, we are boosting the local area through economic growth and hiring.”
