Certified Sutphen Service Locator

  • A complete stock of parts for apparatus, chassis, pumps, and more
  • Emergency road service
  • Annual preventative maintenance contracts
  • Emergency 24-hour service

Mobile Pump Testing:

Sutphen offers a convenient way to perform the annual NFPA testing of pump equipment at your location.
Because the testing occurs at your location and the test equipment can be disconnected quickly if a call is received, your apparatus is never out of service. Only clean water is used to test your pump, preventing premature impeller and valve wear from sediment in the draft water. Pump tests are performed by EVT Certified technicians who provide a performance report upon completion. And YES Sutphen will test any brand of pump in ANY manufacturer’s apparatus, not just Sutphen products.

In an effort to keep your maintenance costs down, Sutphen offers bulk pricing for pump testing. The higher the number of pump tests at a given location, the lower the price per test. If you are a large department, call us to schedule all your pump tests at once, in one location. Smaller departments can take advantage by organizing a “Pump Test Day” at a central location with other departments to enable a lower price for all.
Call us with a list of the departments and number of trucks involved. We will furnish an individualized quote for each department based on the total number of trucks to be tested.

Annual Service Inspections:

Your Sutphen apparatus should be inspected annually by the trained eye of a Certified Sutphen technician. Why? To ensure that potential problems and wear-and-tear do not progress into a hazardous situation or a vehicle out of service.

Annual Inspection includes:
Inspection of chassis and components (excluding brakes)
Inspection of the fire pump, valves and components
Inspection of the hydraulic system and components, both pressure and operation
Lubrication of all grease fittings
Complete inspection of ladder, components, cable adjustments and ladder lubrication
Inspection of torque for aerial base and all major fasteners

NOTE: Logistics in nearly every case prohibits us from performing fluid changes during these inspections. Fluid changes are usually best accomplished by your local heavy truck service facility or your municipality’s service center.

Warranty Process:

Before any warranty work begins, please contact a Service Department warranty administrator with your truck’s HS# and request a Purchase Order number for warranty work.

  • Do not begin work on apparatus until confirmation has been received.
  • Be prepared to provide photos and information regarding defective product.
  • After work is completed fill out designated paperwork and return to the Sutphen Service Department.
  • When all information is received and validated the PO will be processed and paid.
