Strong, Stable, Committed to the Fire Service Since 1890
Sutphen aerial platform fire apparatus feature the mid-mount design that provides unsurpassed safety, performance, reliability and maneuverability. With only one out-and-down jack on each side, Sutphen platforms provide the industry’s quickest and most compact setup. Our original mid-mount design provides firefighters with capabilities of working at low angles over the cab while also working on a 360-degree basis without moving the apparatus.
Our aerial devices are constructed using patented huck-bolt technology that has also been used on military and commercial aircraft. With the elimination of welding, Sutphen reduces the risk of fatigued and cracked welds that can lead to costly repairs and down time.
Sutphen aerials have a four-sided, box-boom design which allows for a stronger aerial device and a totally enclosed, protected waterway. Our aerials are available in tandem and single axle models.
Experience and Focus are what set Sutphen apart from the competition. 127 years of experience go into each apparatus that we build, and our Company focus is to build the safest and most effective product available. Quality, craftsmanship, and family values have been our passion for over a century. It is what we do, and nobody can do it better.
