Verdoy Fire District NY
(1) SL 75 Aerial Ladder
Verdoy Fire District in Latham, NY has placed this 2010 Sutphen Towers SL75 demonstrator truck into service. It features a 500 HP Cummins motor, 500 of water and an 8KW Smartpower generator for an electric cord reel. Whelen PFP2 LED scene lights illuminate the night. This ultra heavy duty 1000 pound tip load aerial ladder is Verdoy’s first ladder truck—and they chose the best, the Sutphen Aerial! The truck was sold by Phil Vander Molen
Boght Fire Department NY
(1) Shield Series S4
Boght has taken delivery of a Sutphen S4 Rescue pumper. The unit features a Shield Cab and Chassis. There is a Hale Qmax 1500 GPM pump. A 10KW Smart Power generator provides power to a couple of Hannay cord reels. There is 750 of water on board. This production model truck is Boghts first Sutphen. Phil Vander Molen sold this truck.
Pompey Hill Fire Department NY
(1) Monarch 4x4 Rescue
Pompey Hill has taken delivery and placed in service its new “King of the Hill” Sutphen Monarch 4x4 rescue pumper. The new rig features a Marmon Herrington 22k front drive axle and transfer case. The truck is powered by a 500 HP Cummins engine. There is a 1500 GPM Waterous pump with a Foam Pro system, 600 gallons of water and 30 of Foam. A Smartpower 20KW Liberator Generator and Hydraulic XRT Rescue system provide emergency extrication services, while lighting up the dark country night. Whelen LED warning and Scene Lights are suplimented with Fire Research 1000 W quartz lights. The rear of the truck has a Zico quick ladder and the hosebed is covered with aluminum treadplate doors. The total length of the truck is approximately 32 feet, allowing it to turn tightly and access homes which are up to 2000 feet off of the main two-lane roads. The unit was built at Sutphen Corp and Chassis and was sold by Phil Vander Molen.
Shohola Fire and Rescue PA
(1) C Series C5
The Shohola Fire & Rescue Fire Co. has recently taken delivery of a Sutphen C-5 series Engine. This Engine features a Waterous 1250 gpm pump, 2- FRC 12 volt push up LED scene lights, an extended front bumper with discharge, Whelen LED warning light package, built on an International 4-door chassis. 1000 gallon of water, 2 cross lays, deck gun and Aluminum body with ROM roll up doors complete this truck. This unit was sold and serviced by Signal 1 Fire Equipment.
Forest City Fire Dept. NC
(1) Monarch Rescue
Chief Mark McCurry of the Town of Forest City Fire Department took delivery of this beautiful Sutphen Monarch pumper. The apparatus features a Sutphen 10” raised roof cab, Cummins ISM 435 horse power engine, Allison EVS 4000 Transmission, Hale QMAX 1500 GPM pump, all standard stainless steel plumbing, Akron foam system with a 25 gallon class B foam tank and a Hale pump panel EZ-Fill system. The body is a full depth full height rescue body with ladders recessed in the body on the driver’s side. 750 gallon water tank. The apparatus has a Smart Power 8 KW PTO generator and a Command Light Tower. This makes the third Sutphen bought by the Town of Forest City Fire Department. The apparatus was sold by Stevens Fire Equipment, Inc. Morganton, North Carolina.
Winston-Salem Fire Dept. NC
(2) Monarch Stainless Rescue
Chief Anthony Farmer of the City of Winston-Salem Fire Department took delivery of these Sutphen Stainless Steel body pumpers. Engine 4 and engine 14 feature an extreme duty Sutphen cab, Cummins ISM 450 HP engines, Allison EVS 4000 transmissions, Federal Q sirens recessed in the grill leaving more open space on the bumper extension. A FireCom intercom system, Hale Qmax 1500 GPM pump, all stainless steel plumbing, front trash lines, two pull out tray transverse 1-3/4” pre-connected attack lines. The all Stainless Steel body features a pull-out oil dry compartment, backboard compartments, upper left side coffin compartments full height full depth rescue style compartments both side of the apparatus with a Zico electric ladder rack. The apparatus were sold by Stevens Fire Equipment, Inc. Morganton North Carolina Sutphen dealer for North and South Carolina.
Shiloh-Danieltown-Oakland FD NC
(1) Shield Series S4
Chief Gregg Rupp of the Shiloh-Danieltown-Oakland Fire Department recently took delivery of this Sutphen Shield S4 pumper. The apparatus features a Cummins ISL 400 HP Engine with an Allison EVS3000 transmission. The pumper has a QMAX 1500 GPM pump with top mount pump controls and two 1-3/4” speedlays. Also, an extended front mount bumper with a covered hose through for pre-connected attack line. The body is an all aluminum full height full depth rescue body both left and right side with an Zico electric ladder rack on the officer’s side. A 8 KW PTO Smart-power generator with telescoping flood lights round out what is a excellent addition to Chief Rupp’s department. The apparatus was sold by Stevens Fire Equipment, Inc. of Morganton NC, Sutphen dealer for North and South Carolina.
Kill Devil Hills Fire Department NC
(1) Monarch Rescue Pumper
Chief Doug Penland of the Kill Devil Hills Fire Department recently took delivery of this Sutphen Monarch pumper. The pumper features a Sutphen Extended Monarch Cab, with a full height rear wall EMS compartment, Cummins ISM 450 HP engine, Allison EVS4000 transmission, PTO 8 KW Smartpower generator, Wilburt Night-Scan telescoping scene lights. Hale QMAX 1500 GPM pump with all Akron electric valve controls, 500 Gallon Water. The body features full depth full height rescue body both left and right hand side. Special compartments under the hose bed to carry a stokes basket, ladders and pike poles. Under the rear tailboard there a shovel brackets for storing hand shovels. The apparatus was sold by Stevens Fire Equipment, Inc., Morganton NC. North and South Carolina Sutphen Dealer.
Somers Fire Department NY
(1) Monarch Rescue
Sutphen East is proud to announce the delivery of Somers, NY Custom Pumper. This unit features a Sutphen custom chassis with Detroit Diesel Series 60 455HP, and a 6 man custom cab. The Apparatus also has a Waterous 1500 GPM CMU pump, 3 speed lays, front suction and deck gun. The generator is a 10KW PTO driven Onan. The tank holds 1000 gallons of water. A Stainless body, ROM roll up doors, and custom ladder storage complete this vehicle. This apparatus was sold by Mike Myers.
West Palm Beach Fire Department FL
(1) SA 75 Remounted Aerial
West Palm Beach, FL Fire Rescue just took delivery on a new SA-75 Sutphen Quint, but in order to save budget dollars they used the ladder off of their 1993 Sutphen SA-75 Quint, with the addition of new outriggers, the tip rating was recertified from 500lbs to 1,000 lbs. The new truck has a 515hp Detroit Series 60 Engine, 1500 GPM Hale Pump, 470 Gal Water Tank, 30 gal Foam Cell, 73" Extended cab with EMS cabinets in the front and rear overhead areas. It has a 15" raised roof with an EMS Cabinet accessible from both the outside of the cab and the inside of the cab. It has a special front bumper with trays and brackets for a Rescue tool pump, spreader, cutter, and a 100ft preconnected line. The truck has a 8KW Smart Power generator, numberous FRC lights, electric cord reel, shelves, trays, and tool boards. It features all LED Whelen lighting along with LED ground lights, step lights, and pump panel lights. This unit was sold and serviced by South Florida Emergency Vehicles.
