Sutphen chooses Ohio based Company for new sales software
Amlin, OH (2/1/2012)

RE:  Sutphen chooses Ohio based Company for new sales configurator software

Sutphen Corporation announced today that they have contracted with TDCI, an Ohio based software technology Company, to implement its next generation dealer quoting and ordering system.

TDCI has been providing enterprise solutions and services since 1992.  Their BuyDesign® product configurator will be customized to Sutphen's exact specifications and integrate seamlessly with other software within the Company's operations.

"We are very pleased to be working with such a respected Columbus company as Sutphen," said Dan DeMuth, TDCI President. "We're excited about the opportunity to help Sutphen deploy a solution that will make it even easier for their dealers to configure, price and quote Sutphen custom emergency response vehicles, and help streamline the process of submitting orders for those vehicles to production."

"We are excited to be moving forward with our project to deploy new configuration software here at Sutphen" says Ken Creese, Director of Sales and Marketing for Sutphen.  "Our decision to award the business to TDCI is exciting to say the least.  BuyDesign will play a key role in the continued growth of our company.  There are not a lot of companies in the US that have configuration software capable of handling products as complex as a custom fire truck.  We are fortunate to have an industry leader here in Columbus.  Being able to keep our dollars here in Ohio and specifically Columbus played a major role in our decision process.  The other two companies in the running for the business are located in Cincinnati and Chicago.  Neither of these Cities buys our fire apparatus.  We did not lose sight of the fact that the City of Columbus does buy our products.  We will spend in excess of $450,000 dollars.  Keeping the money in our community where our employees live and raise families makes sense."

Sutphen expects to be in the development phase of this project for the next 6 to 8 months as it prepares to launch the new software out to its distribution network.  The company will work closely with the team from TDCI during the development and implementation process.

Sutphen Corporation is an Ohio based privately held, family owned business that manufactures custom built emergency response vehicles.  The company's headquarters are located in suburban Dublin, Ohio northwest of Columbus.
